Welcome to 2023! The turn of a calendar page offers a new year, and a new slate, to explore and set goals for ourselves, and San Diego County Library offers resources to help you do just that. Maybe you’d like to learn how to beautify your House and Home, or spark joy with new organizing strategies. Perhaps you or someone you know is ready to go back to school and earn their high school diploma through Library High School with SDCL, joining more than 130 San Diegans who have earned their diplomas through the program.
Are you planning to refrain from setting ambitious goals this year? Take time to rest and reflect with books like counselor KC Davis’s How to Keep House While Drowning: A Gentle Approach to Cleaning and Organizing and Katherine May’s Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times, or have fun reading one of the Top Books of 2022 that you may have missed.
Finally, if you’re looking for more connection and community in the new year, take a look at the library’s events calendar to find programs about art, health, STEAM, and more, hosted by an SDCL branch near you.
Happy New Year! SDCL is excited to see you Create Your Own Story in 2023.
